TY - JOUR AB - Eating Disorders represent a relevant problem in public health. An important theoretical study on treatments is provided by the regional and national guidelines, such as annex 1 to resolution 668 of 2017 of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region and the document “Clinical, structural and operational appropriateness in the prevention, diagnosis and therapy of eating disorders” published in 2013 by the Ministry of Health. The purpose of this article is to describe the planning and execution of an educational intervention, carried out on a single case diagnosed with bulimia nervosa, that aimed at increasing the motivation for change. The work consists of a first phase in order to identify the areas of intervention. The educational project envisaged the use of the Prochaska and Diclemente Trans-Theoretical Model of Change with activities to increase the motivation for change of the person taken in charge. The project carried out and the positive results obtained have shown that the application of the Trans-Theoretical Model of Change has allowed us to work on the motivational aspect with the use of specific schemes on change, psychological and behavioral aspects.
